Shi Ti Wei Bo Wu Guan 史迪威博物馆
• Admission 10 RMB
This is the former private residence of General Joseph Stillwell, from the time period when Americans were assisting the Chinese battle Japanese invasions (WWII). The residence has been converted into a historical museum commemorating the people and events of that time. On the main floor the original rooms have been preserved or restored, including a war planning conference room and WWII era communications center. On the basement level, the rooms are filled with old photographs. Most displays have English translations. Also, if you happen to go on a sunny and clear day in Chongqing this site offers a spectacular view of the Jialing river.
