This is interesting, I have been traveling to China for more than 4 years now. I just do not see a good "business network" in China that allow expats to pool together interests and ideas to gain footholds in Chongqing.

I from New York and recently remarried a local Chongqingnese. So now CQ is my China hometown. Therefore, I am very interested in starting an active CQ Business Network for expats in CQ.

With that said, I am planning to start a chain of American Style fast food business in major cities of China with CQ as the pilot. I have been in the Outsourcing business for about 8 years now. My analysis and observation of the culture of the food service industry draws me into this business opportunity.

Just a bit of background, I was born in Guangzhou area, immigrated to the US since I as 10 yearr old. My dicipline is Chemical Engineering but with 30 years of experience in major corporation and building my own business in IT solutions. I also have experience in the food services business and love to cook.

So now that I have started this "CQ business networking", hit me back, and let me know your thoughts. Love to hear from the CQ Expats.

Regards,

There's a China Business Network, and I'd guess 70% of the people in it are in Shanghai or Hong Kong, and another 29% in Beijing which leaves 1% scattered across this huge country. What's up with that??

Chongqing is big and developing fast so there must be business people and investors storming in right and left, how are they connecting? Please, if you have a business in Chongqing, or are planning on starting one, get connected now and start shaking things up!
