I’m a 20 something Chinese-American who escaped from small town Oklahoma to live in the big city and see the world. I lived in Chongqing from 2005-2007 serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer. These days I am wading my way through NYC, which after Chongqing is a cakewalk. In true volunteer spirit, I tend to give even when there is no prospect of returns, when there is a need I go out and fill it. That often leaves me with a full heart and empty pocketbook, a fact that has yet to wipe the smile off my face. I am passionate about food, and my dream is to one day be a food writer or someone who gets paid to eat new things, take pictures, and rave about how delicious it was afterward. If you’re living in Chongqing now and would like to contribute anything new please let me know! And as always suggestions and comments welcome!
